Police in southern England have recently bought five gadgets which issue spoken warnings in order to alert people to the threat of car crime. The emphasis is on reminding drivers to secure their vehicles and leave no valuables inside. Inspector Rob Bryan, head of Southall Police said: “Reducing thefts from vehicles is a priority for us. A lot of car crime is random, and cars are broken into to steal anything on show.”
Very popular in the reservation of car parking spaces, parking posts (just one of many access control products from Carpark Barriers & Turnstiles) are widely used where access to small areas is required to be restricted. Characterised by a strong contoured design, all supplied parking posts are key operated from the top. Bolted securely into the ground, only you – the authorised user – can unlock the parking post using the key provided, allowing it to be lowered in order to remove or park your vehicle. The post can also be locked into a flat position.
