Magistrates ordered a man of almost pensionable age to pay compensation after he was responsible for racist abuse daubed on doors at Hebden Bridge train station. Police investigated after the messages were written on the back of doors in the male toilets on numerous occasions. He was arrested when searched and police found a pen and two bags of cannabis. The man, James Allen (62), admitted both offences to police.
