Councillors were divided over a decision by a town council to buy two toilet blocks from the district council. One official, David Oliver, supported the agreement by the Wisbech Town Council Acquisitions Working Party to purchase the conveniences. Mr Oliver added that if one set of toilets in the North Cambs town are not purchased now, it is likely they will be sold in the next few months. Councillor Virginia Bucknor disagreed, saying: “This is not a money pig council.”
