A council stood firm on its principles and remains adamant it will not knock down a site containing top-notch public conveniences in favour of a multi-million pound development. The Stratford District Council (SDC) stance has been queried by developers, Opus Land, who say two nationally known restaurant chains would be interested in building on the land. SDC confirmed its position and said it is “not in discussion with any other party at this time.”
