A television designer is supporting a bid to turn a public toilet into a café. Kevin McCloud, well known to viewers of Channel 4 design shows, has donated £300 to the project, alongside the £2,000 pledged by west country residents in Frome. Mr McCloud said of the part-art project: “Public space needs creativity, it needs art and it needs local involvement in order for it to thrive.” He added that “human imagination” makes towns enjoyable places to live in.
