Getting stuck in the turnstile at the Partick Thistle’s Firhill ground has been quite a wake-up call for fresh food manager Thomas McIntyre, who’s managed to lose more than 17 stone over fears about his health.

Mr McIntyre had been overweight for more than two decades, which also left him on medication for a range of health concerns including high blood pressure, breathing problems and fluid retention.
Due to his impressive achievement, Mr. McIntyre has been named "Slimming World Man of the Year 2013".
