A total of 17 bollards worth $50,000 were installed by the City of Bunbury in order to protect a house located in the area’s most notorious car crash site, a news report in the local media has revealed.
Since a roundabout was installed in the area in 2006, five cars have crashed into the house’s wall and there had been countless near misses. In July this year, three cars crashed through the front wall in three days. It took the home owners several years, crashes and a failed request for bollards until the council erected them last month.
