The East Hampshire District Council is set to start a massive car park refurbishment scheme that will see locations across the district receive some much needed upgrades, a news report in the local media has revealed.
The Council has put aside £145,000 for this program, with all the money set to be spent on car parks across the district, going towards resurfacing, patching up potholes, re-painting white lines and more.
Cllr Richard Millard, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Commercial Contracts, said: “Our car parks are the first port of call for our visitors and need to be up-to-scratch. Some of the car parks are showing signs of wear and tear and the lines have become faded and worn. We need to get them looking fresh and welcoming.”
