The local council in Skegness has managed to successfully complete refurbishment works on a car park located in a central location, in a bid to improve the town centre shopping experience for motorists.
The car park, situated to the rear of the Hildreds Centre, has undergone a two week revamp, including complete resurfacing, a news report in the local media can reveal.
Furthermore, the disabled bays have been re-designed with added transfer space to allow better access to the kerbside.
Portfolio Holder for the Environment, Councillor Steve O’Dare, said: “The revamp of the Lawn car park has greatly improved its look and layout. The surface was in generally poor condition and needed to be resurfaced anyway, so we took the opportunity to have a look at how we could make the placement of the car parking bays more convenient for all motorists, including the better positioning of the 16 disabled bays.”
