A new station and car park are set to be open in Derby after the Derbyshire County Council has managed to successfully bid for Government cash to fund the project, a new report in the local business media has recently revealed.
The new two-platform station and car park will be sited between Coronation Road and Millership Way and will be linked by a new footbridge. The car park will have around 150 spaces for cars, disabled drivers, cyclists and motorcyclists.
A passenger drop-off point and taxi rank will also be built while buses will be able to run to the station and a new bus stop will be installed. Other facilities will include waiting shelters, ticket machines, customer information screens, passenger help points and CCTV.
