The car parks in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, are set to undergo a major transformation over the next couple of months as a town-wide roll-out of Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems and electric barriers will begin in June.
After a successful trial in High Wycombe, ANPR is set to be rolled out across all WDC-run car parks in Marlow, with the exception of Riley Road and Dean Street, a news report in the local media was able to reveal.
The system works by reading number plates as they enter and exit car-parks and automatically calculates how long vehicles have stayed. Then, drivers can make payment by cash, credit card, via the internet or on their mobile phones, with the tariffs remaining the same once the system has been installed.
Car Park Barriers & Turnstiles has an extensive experience in creating advanced, reliable, yet quite affordable access restriction solutions for car parks.
The vehicle barriers developed by Car Park Barriers & Turnstiles can work in any weather, are able to immediately recognise authorised personnel and are supplied complete and ready to accept power and data connections, meaning that they can be easily interlinked with a new or existing access control system. Plus, boom arms are available in a number of different lengths to suit various road widths.
Last, but certainly not least, it’s important to mention that the automatic car park barriers supplied by Car Park Barriers & Turnstiles can also be fitted with a number of useful extras, such as a folding arm mechanism, impact release mechanism or hanging racks / barrier skirts.
