Nottingham City Council has announced that the development of a brand new bus station and car park is soon to be completed. According to reports from Nottinghamshire Live
Once finished, the council will provide the modern car park and bus station, as well as new retail outlets and the location for a proposed Central Library.
It has now been confirmed the car park and bus station are due open in autumn 2021.
The roof is fitted with photovoltaic panels, utilising solar energy which will generate thousands of pounds’ worth of free energy to be used to power other facilities across the development.
The impressive new car park has been fitted with a parking bay monitoring system meaning green lights above car-parking bays will indicate which spaces are available, saving drivers the time and stress of searching for the remaining spaces.
In the coming months, work will continue on the fit-out of the offices, retail units, shell and core of the new Central Library space and bus station.
