Parents and children going to Cheslyn Hay Sport and Community High School in the West Midlands were recently faced with a very nasty surprise, since a group of travellers moved into a school car park during half term causing travel chaos at rush hour, a news report in the local media has revealed.
The group moved onto the site while pupils and teachers were on their break, and have since refused to move on. Unfortunately, the local council has so far been unable to secure the group’s eviction and they have stayed put.
In a statement the school warned that the traveller camp may not be removed for some time, which means that the disturbance will continue for quite a while.
Probably one of the best solutions to avoid such problems is the installation of a very solid and reliable car park access control and restriction system, and this is specifically where Car Park Barriers & Turnstiles could put its extensive experience to very good use.
The vehicle barriers developed by Car Park Barriers & Turnstiles can work in any weather, are able to immediately recognise authorised personnel and are supplied complete and ready to accept power and data connections, meaning that they can be easily interlinked with a new or existing access control system. Plus, boom arms are available in a number of different lengths to suit various road widths.
Last, but certainly not least, it’s important to mention that the automatic car park barriers supplied by Car Park Barriers & Turnstiles can also be fitted with a number of useful extras, such as a folding arm mechanism, impact release mechanism or hanging racks / barrier skirts.
